Goals from last week:
I have not secured any kind of communication with a mentor.
Mentor:
I am currently looking for new sources.
Research/Project:
A major proponet of the furthering of my research was my discovery of the University Of Denver's Physcology department, who has done extensive research in Adolescent relationships.
An assortment of things I have learned this week:
The quality of romantic relationships has been found to be associated with socioemotional adjustment during times of stress and nonstress.(Furman)
Teenagers develop their own ideas of intimacy and that relationshps build off of each other. These are some aspects of an over-arching attatchment theory.
Relationships can also assists teenagers in the development of their identity (Collibee).
The national geographic helped me realize that within nothing is universal, especially with developmental perspectives. Adolesecents go through varying degrees of problems especially across age groups. They also stated that teenagers “are quite possibly the most fully, crucially adaptive human beings around” (Dobbs 68).
Dobbs, David and Cahana, Kitra National Geographic Magazine, October 2011, Vol. 220, Issue 4.
Goals for Next Week:
I am extending the timeline from me goal from last week. I want to secure at least some form of communication with a mentor.
